Materials
  • Glass Ornament
  • FIMOŽ Soft Polymer Clay — (2) Metallic Red, (1) Metallic Green
  • Liquid FIMOŽ Decorating Gel
  • AMACOŽ Design Push Molds — Roses
  • AMACOŽ Pasta Machine
  • AMACOŽ Needle Tool
  • Ultra Fine Prism Glitter
  • Ribbons and Cord (as desired)
  • Small Disposable Cups
  • Cornstarch Baby Powder
  • Plain Paper (for work surface)
  • Ruler
  • Sharp Knife
  • Paint Brushes
  • Scissors

Step 1
Make five large roses and five medium roses as follows. Condition small amount of Metallic Red FIMOŽ Soft. Roll five small pea-sized balls and five slightly larger sized balls. Dust rose mold cavities with light layer of baby powder. This works best with a small paint brush. Press clay balls into molds. If necessary, use needle tool to remove clay from mold. Bake roses immediately in preheated oven at 265°F (129°C) for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Condition small amount of Metallic Green FIMOŽ Soft. Roll into 20 pea-sized balls. Flatten balls and pinch into basic leaf shape. Dust leaf cavity with baby powder. Press clay into mold. Use needle tool to remove if necessary. Press two unbaked leaves behind each baked rose. Set aside. If leaves do not stick to roses, use a small amount of Liquid FIMOŽ Decorating Gel to attach.
Step 3
Condition Metallic Red FIMOŽ Soft (between two and four ounces). Measure diameter of ornament. Roll Metallic Red FIMOŽ Soft through pasta machine on thickest setting. Create a strip at least two-inches wide and several inches longer than the diameter measurement. Use ruler to mark strip two-inches wide as long as glass ornament in diameter. Cut strip with sharp knife. Press strip around center of glass ball. Join edges and smooth seam with fingertips. Clay edges should touch but not overlap. Gently pinch excess clay at top and bottom into small folds and trim off with scissors. Cut clay circle to fit bottom uncovered area of ornament. Smooth in place and blend seams with fingertips. If air bubbles form, slice open with sharp knife, then seal with fingertips. Cut circle to fit top. Cut slit for ornament hanger. Smooth in place and blend seams.
Step 4
Use Liquid FIMOŽ Decorating Gel to attach roses. Carefully brush prism glitter on to red surface. Place ornament on plain paper on cookie sheet or hang ornament from skewer placed across deep oven-proof pan.
Step 5
Bake ornament at 265°F (129°C) for 30 minutes.
