George Debikey, Indianapolis, Indiana, created this covered jar with Amaco 25-M White Art Clay then glazed it with Amaco L-518 Lustre Gold and LT-3 Old Pewter.

Cone 06-05. These glazes provide the metallic look of hard steel and the high brilliance of lustre. The end result is determined by the structure of the ware and the method of application.

Lustre and Metallic glazes can be used effectively in conjunction with other glazes or dramatically by themselves. Lustre and Metallic glazes can be high fired to Cone 4-6 (2161 -2269°F, 1183 -1243°C) with fantastic results.

Lustre and Metallic glazes are available in liquid form in pint jars.
