"Play in Clay" Highlighting Paul Andrew Wandless
|
We introduce our charter “Play in Clay Community” member Paul Andrew Wandless, a dynamic ceramic artist, educator and NCECEA officer (the first artist to be featured in our "Play in Clay" ad campaign that launched in Ceramics Monthly, Pottery Making Illustrated and other publications in 2007).

"I do play in clay. I think serious clay artists mix equal parts of fun and play with how we work. Sometimes it's experimental play-- sometimes it's serious play or spontaneous play with clay." Adds Paul, "My favorite AMACO products are LUG series of underglazes, Velvet series, underglaze Watercolors, underglaze chalks, Brown Stone Earthenware (no 29) and Terra Cotta Clay (no 77)."

We invite you to join our social network as soon as it's up! You'll be able to create your own profile, post photos of artwork made with AMACO/Brent products or equipment, list your favorite products, discuss your favorite techniques, ask questions of other artists, post links to your favorite websites, post upcoming workshops using AMACO/BRENT products and more.
You will even be able to honor mentors who have inspired you. We believe in the tradition of ceramic art education. From the foundational roots of an able instructor come the branches of ceramic art expression that flourishes today.
High school students decorated slabrolled tiles at the Warhol museum in Pittsburg as Paul introduced AMACO LUG and Velvet underglazes.
