AMACO® Deco Gloss Opaque Glazes-Lead Free

Cone 05. DGs are LEAD FREE and totally opaque. The 24 intense colors are perfect for artists creating art deco pieces including dinnerware, sculpture, table lamps, etc. AMACO® Deco Gloss Opaque glazes flow very little during firing which also makes them suitable for use with AMACO® Gloss Decorating Colors to recreate the Majolica technique. Ideal for use over red 67M or 77M clay when intense true color is desired (because of their opacity). Underglazes are not recommended for use under these DG glazes because of their opacity.

Supplied in liquid, ready-to-use form, Deco Gloss Opaque Glazes may be applied to mature Cone 04 (1971°F, 1077°C) bisque by brushing, pouring, or dipping. Recommended firing temperature is Cone 05 (1911°F, 1044°C).

The three white gloss glazes from AMACO® offer a variety of finishes when fired. DG-11 Deco White fires to a pure white, LG-11 Opaque White fires white, and F-11 White fires to an off-white.

Due to differences in monitors we cannot guarantee that the color you see is a true representation of the glaze color. Actual fired glazed ceramic chip boards are available for exact color matches.

All AMACO® glazes that carry the AP Non-Toxic seal in liquid form also carry the seal in dry form, but mixing instructions on the label should be followed to prevent dust to ensure safe use.

Tableware producers must have all finished ware tested and approved as safe for dinnerware through a certified laboratory due to possible variations in firing temperature and possible contamination.
